On Sunday the Seahawks defeated the Broncos to win their first championship in team history. This has been an amazing week for me, really an amazing season. It's been a blessing to be able to work each home game in this magical year. And it was capped off perfectly by the win in the Super Bowl. You know what the funny thing is? Afterwards I couldn't help feeling like a kid again. Like anything was possible. Maybe this is what Jesus meant when he said, “unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 18:3 ESV). That yes the tough things in this world could bring us down but ultimately we should just trust in God's plan. And that's one of the things the Seahawks championship reminded me of. To be like a kid and have that childlike trust that our dreams are possible. Not the selfish dreams that come from a 'me first' perspective but the dreams that God has for us. And you know what? His plan always comes to fruition.
